The DMS Discord Is Open

When I asked a group of DMS members whether they would use a community space, several of them asked for the same thing without being prompted: a Discord. So DMS now has one.
What it is for
It is a place for DMS members to swap ideas about systematic investing: how the DMS strategies work, your own backtests, what you are seeing in the markets, and anything else that helps us all invest a little better. The channels are kept simple on purpose:
- #dms-strategies for questions about how the strategies work
- #markets-and-macro for market talk, including how policy is moving markets
- #strategy-lab for your own strategies and backtests, one thread each
- #ask-randy for questions for me, one thread per question
- #general, #introductions and #trading-chat for everything else
How to get in
The channels open once you link a DMS account, and a free account works. After you join:
- Click the server name at the top left, then Linked Roles.
- Choose Dual Momentum Systems and log in to DMS. No account yet? You can create a free one.
- Approve the connection. Your channels open right away.
Premium members get a green Premium name, so it is easy to see who is following the strategies closely. If your Premium membership changes, your Discord role follows it automatically. DMS only tells Discord two things: that you have an account, and whether it is Premium. Your email stays with DMS, and you can unlink any time from My Account.
A few ground rules
The full rules are pinned in the server. The short version: be decent, keep politics to its market impact, and do not post current-month Premium allocations before the 11th of the month, when they become visible on the site. Links to tools and research are welcome; sales pitches are not.
This is a member space. I will be checking in regularly, but I am not on call, and members helping each other is the whole idea. If you have a question for me, start a thread in #ask-randy and I will get to it.
As always, nothing in the Discord is personal investment advice.
I hope to see you there.
